Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Ching-I Hsu is recognized in the industry as one of the fathers of KVM technology. Since he founded Raritan in 1985, Dr. Hsu has led the company with the mission of providing IT professionals with the most reliable, flexible, and secure KVM and remote connectivity solutions to manage data center operations. Prior to founding Raritan, he served as Engineering Manager at Litton Industries, working on major projects for the military and intelligence community, and a Systems Engineer for the Singer Corporation, developing Simulation Trainer Systems. Dr. Hsu holds both Masters and Doctorate degrees in Electrical Engineering from Brown University.
President and Chief Operating Officer
Thomas Swift is responsible for the day-to-day global operations and management of Raritan and its more than 500 employees. Prior to joining Raritan, Tom served as Vice President of Lucent's Worldwide Services unit, in addition to a variety of line and staff assignments. His career milestones at Lucent included leading the integration of International Network Services into the company's corporate infrastructure and growing a startup professional services business beyond $100 million in annual revenues. During his 16 years at AT&T, Tom held positions in AT&T's services, software, transmission, and computer business units. He holds a B.S.E. from Princeton University, an M.S. in Applied Mechanics from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.
Chief Financial Officer
Bob is responsible for managing Raritan's overall financial activities worldwide. He was previously Vice President and CFO of Globix Corporation, an Amex listed provider of managed application services, IP infrastructure solutions and optical networking services. Prior to Globix, Bob was Vice President and controller for OpNext, a global optical components joint venture created by a spin-off from Hitachi and venture capital firm Clarity Partners. Before OpNext, Bob served as Director of Accounting for Agere Systems(formerly the Microelectronics division of Lucent technologies). Bob also held various financial positions at International Specialty Products, Bongrain, S.A. and Nabisco Brands. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Bob holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Masters Degree in International Business, both from Seton Hall University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Vice President of Sales, Americas
Gary is responsible for leading the sales and channel marketing programs for the US, Canada and South America. Prior to joining Raritan he was a partner in Roxiticus Ventures, a New Jersey based venture capital group focused on underperforming technology companies. He also served as Executive Vice President of I.D. Systems and in senior executive positions at Dialogic (an Intel company), Western Digital Corp., and AT&T Corp. Gary has extensive experience developing and implementing sales channel and branding strategies for maximizing profitability as well as turning technology driven companies into customer facing market driven organizations. Gary holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business from the University of Miami and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Farleigh Dickinson University.
Vice President of Product Operations
Rasul is responsible for worldwide product management, engineering, manufacturing and sourcing for Raritan’s entire product line. Prior to joining Raritan, Rasul was Vice President, Network Engineering and Operations at AT&T, where he was responsible for network engineering and planning, as well as numerous market initiatives. His previous positions at AT&T include Vice President, Local Network Services and Vice President, Broadband Product Management. At Lucent Technologies, as Vice President, Software Products Group, Rasul built a profitable billing mediation software business. He has also been involved in starting several business units for both Lucent and AT&T. As an entrepreneur, Damji has created several businesses. He launched GovXcel, a company that provides software solutions to local governments, and co-founded Innovative Capital Partners, a consulting and capital investment firm. Rasul holds B.S.E.E. and M.S.E.E. degrees from Boston University. He is also a graduate of the Wharton School’s Advanced Management Program.
Vice President of Strategy & Business Development
Sev is responsible for guiding Raritan's overall strategy as well as leading the company's strategic business development efforts. He was formerly Raritan’s Vice President of Global Marketing. Prior to joining Raritan, Sev was Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of Product Management for Montreal-based My Virtual Model, Inc., a company that sells virtual identity, visualization technologies and online shopping tools to leading online retailers. He also co-founded 3Dsize.com, Inc., a developer of innovative sizing and body scanning products. A proven entrepreneur, Sev has established several software businesses and introduced dozens of successful software products, including Lexicat?court reporting software, the Labcat?software family for new drug testing and Results for Research?market research and call center management software. His international accomplishments include the creation of a European practice for RONIN, a marketing consultancy for Fortune 500 technology firms. Sev holds a B.S.E.E. from Princeton University and an M.B.A from the Wharton School of Business.
Vice President of Advanced Technology
Yee is responsible for advanced research on Raritan's future products and solutions. Under his direction, Raritan has developed many of its current innovative KVM products, including Paragon, IP-Reach, FiberReach and MasterConsole. Prior to joining Raritan, Yee served as Director of Software Development at Bell Communication Research, Inc. (Bellcore) where he was responsible for the development of several operational systems. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from National Cheng-Kung University in Taiwan and an M.S. in
Computer Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
General Counsel
Preston is responsible for all of Raritan's legal matters worldwide, including contracts, intellectual property, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and general corporate governance. Preston also oversees and manages selection and retention of outside counsel, along with supporting Raritan management with legal counsel on matters relating to Raritan's global business operations. Prior to joining Raritan, Preston was with Thacher Proffitt & Wood LLP, a prominent New York law firm, where he represented a wide range of companies, from high technology start-ups to a multi-billion dollar communications company, in transactional, intellectual property and corporate matters. Prior to his tenure at Thacher Proffitt & Wood, Preston had a distinguished career as in-house corporate counsel at AT&T and Lucent, with his last assignment involving responsibility for all legal issues relating to Lucent's $4Billion optical networking business. Over the course of his career, Preston has been counsel on over $30 billion worth of merger and acquisition transactions. He holds an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Princeton and a JD from Villanova University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and before the United States Supreme Court.
Vice President of Human Resources
Joel Pacheco is responsible for Raritan's worldwide Human Resources organization. Prior to joining Raritan, Joel held a number of increasingly senior HR roles with Valley Media and Deluxe Corporation. He has over 10 years of international and domestic HR experience in large, small and geographically dispersed organizations. Joel holds a B.A. and an M.A. in Political Science from Columbia University.
